Come to SACC's part-time enrolment open day on Tuesday 6th September 2011, you can drop-in at anytime between 11am – 2pm and 5pm – 8pm, at our Southchurch site,  Ambleside Drive, Southend.

You will be able to meet tutors, ask questions about the wide range of accredited and vocational courses available, and talk to a Next Step Education and Careers Adviser who will be giving impartial information and advice. Information will be available on start dates, fees and additional learning support.

If you know the course you want to enrol on, you can fill out an application form on the day or take one away with you if you need more time to consider your options.

Accredited courses are those courses that lead to a formal qualification such SACC's GCSE (English, Maths, Psychology and Science), Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS), AQA Counselling and ITEC Indian Head Massage and Reflexology courses. Certificates and Diplomas in Health and Social Care, Business Administration, Customer Service and Children and Young People’s Workforce are also available, as well as, English and maths courses leading to national qualifications, which will enhance your skills.

SACC's wide range of vocational courses focuses on practical skills rather than traditional academic studies and can feature hands-on work experience. Vocational qualifications are not only respected and recognised by employers but are also regarded as an equivalent to academic courses offered by universities or other educational institutions.

Recent changes to SACC's funding, means that we are now able to support you with your fees, if you are not in work and want to study up to level 3.

Rick Olver, Vice Principal said, “Open days are an excellent chance for the College to show you the success you can achieve by studying here. Accredited and vocational courses are an extremely effective way into both employment and further education”.

If you would like further information on any of SACC's courses, please call 01702 445700 or email sacc@southend-adult.ac.uk.
