Ex-students launch art workshop enterprise!
Community based arts centre proving very popular
Four ex-students of SACC have put their talents together and launched School House Arts, a community-based arts centre based in Fambridge.
Debra, Nickie, Margaret and Sharne have known each other for a number of years since meeting on the City and Guilds Patchwork and Quilting Certificate at Southend Adult Community College. Since completing the course, the group have remained firm friends often meeting to exchange ideas and attend workshops. They recently decided to share their skills and enthusiasm with others and 'School House Arts' was born!
The enterprise was launched in mid April and was attended by 73 people, with one couple travelling all the way from Somerset to attend! School House Arts will run a series of workshops on differing subjects such as Bookshop, Textured Landscape, Fabric corsages and Grungie Granny workshops, Stich to Paint and Postcard Workshop.
