Do you want to improve your writing, maths or ICT skills? Do you want to show the skills you already have and be more confidence in your own abilities? If so a Skills for Life qualification could be for you.

Skills for Life qualifications are designed to help you improve your reading, writing and maths, the things you use everyday. They can also help you improve your chances of getting a or moving on to study at a higher level.

You can take a Skills for Life qualification if you are over 16 years of age; have left compulsory full-time education; do not have an up-to-date English or maths qualification at Level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework (such as a GCSE). Skills for Life Certificates are available in literacy, numeracy, ICT and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

SACC offers a wide range of Skills for Life courses to suit all levels of learning throughout the year, so you can start one whenever you are ready. The Levels available are Entry Level (three entry levels to choose from), Level 1 and Level 2.

Don't worry, you don't even need to sit an exam, all Skills for Life qualifications are based on a set of multipul choice questions. If you want to find out your level you can test your skills on the Move On website click here>>

If you don't pass, you can take the test again. In fact, you can take it as many times as you like until you do pass. However, each time you take it you'll be asked a different set of questions.
